We truly appreciate the effort everyone made to be with us and wish we had more get togethers. To make everything happen; however, we will need volunteers to work in the barn area, the Association Booth, and gate persons. If you would like to help out in any of these areas, please let me know. A few classes have also been added for Draft Ponies and will not be open for any Haflinger exhibitors as they have their own show Wednesday. If you have any questions or concerns regarding these classes, call Chris Davison (478/994-9507). We are looking forward to a wonderful time and being with the draft horse friends weve made over the past ten years and hopefully adding a few new ones to the list. As stated, this is our Tenth Anniversary and we have a few surprises which will take us a little over our budget. Its getting a little late for a fundraiser so we are asking for your help. A contribution form is enclosed and any amount will be appreciated. Thanks for all your support, Lawana (Smith) 2003 Perry Show-Chairman (770) 422-5142 ************************************ Preparing your Horse for Show: If you would like to host a clinic to help those who need instruction on how to prepare a horse for showing, doing manes & tails, and single/double hitching, let a board member know. If anyone feels they need some help in any of these areas, just let us know and well put you in touch with someone who can help you. ************************************ GHC SPONSORED HORSE FAIR: The Georgia Horse Council will be sponsoring a Horse Fair in January to be held at Perry on the 9th through the 11th. Debbie Wiedemann has volunteered to head this once again and would like to start planning now. The GDHA has in the past participated in the Parade of Breeds and we would like to have one horse per breed representing the association. It will be on a first come, first serve basis and the Association will reimburse exhibitors for stalling fees. If you are interested in taking your particular breed of draft horse, please call Debbie @ (770) 869-0868). All those who participated this past January reported a great time. ************************************ To Serve you: Please call your officers or Board Members with questions or concerns or to volunteer to host a meeting or party Charley Lee, President (770) 928-1182) Bob Gosford, V.
